SMCC The Springs is dedicated to helping you take your next step in your faith journey. We have gone out of our way to simplify our Next Steps process so that everyone in our church can easily understand it and put it in action.
TheFirst Steps for anyone seeking a relationship with God are what we call the "LOVING GOD" phase of the spiritual journey. They are not hard to take if you know what they are. At the Springs the first steps, or entry level steps, are listed below.
1. If you are a recent guest at The Springs Church we invite you to attend a PASTOR'S DESSERT at our campus pastor's home (Tom Mertz). Here you will meet some of our church staff, learn about our church and our approach to ministry, and have an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have
2. Become a follower of Jesus Christ. If you have not yet taken this step, we encourage you to enroll in our exploring Christianity class that we call CHRISTIANITY 101. Here you will learn about the basic tenants of Christianity in a comfortable small group gathering that will meet once a week for several weeks. This is a safe place to ask questions and kick the tires
3. TAKE THE PLUNGE and get baptized. If you are already a Christ follower and have not yet been baptized, your next step opportunity is to attend a one-time class on baptism and then schedule a time when you can be baptized. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE.
4. If you are ready to pursue membership at this church we invite you to attend our NEXT STEPS class. Next steps is a class that meets for one hour each Sunday for a period of four weeks and it runs concurrent with the regular Sunday Morning service. At Next Steps you will discover our core values, ministry style, and where you can fit in. Upon completion of Next Steps you will have an opportunity to sign our membership agreement and become a full participating member at SMCC the Springs Church.
Navigating through these first steps is easy and painless. All it will cost you is a little bit of time. Simply pick up the process at whatever step you need to take and move forward.
