S.U.R.F – Students United in Redeeming Faith meets at 10:15am every Sunday morning and 6:30 pm every Wednesday evening (Wednesday evening meets in the youth facility in our office complex - see bottom of page to address).
It is no big secret that in churches all across this nation teens are clocking out on God. And it’s not because they are not interested in God, more than likely it is because the church in America has done a poor job in the last several decades when it comes to communicating the relevance of the church to teen life and the world. Teens look at the church as a quasi adult sort of organization where children and students are sort of corralled while the important work of ministering to adults takes place. While we don’t have all the answers we are prayerfully doing what we can to turn this trend around.
The fact is that the church is as much about teenagers as it is adults, in fact you could almost say it is more about the upcoming generations because they are the future of the church. We must hand off the baton to them in a way that makes sense and makes a difference. At SMCC we believe that it is our solemn duty and honor to instill in the teens of our community a sense of worth in God, a knowledge of who He is and what He purposes for each and every one of their lives, to teach the teens that the grace, mercy, and truth of Jesus Christ is not only relevant to their lives, but is the hope of the world. Our youth gather every week for the purpose of worship, discipleship, fellowship, service, and outreach. Please feel free to contact our youth leader, Jake Vandebrake, at 435-669-5840 or stop in for one of our Sunday morning services and acquaint yourself with our youth pastor or one or more of our many youth leaders.

If you are a teen we don’t just want you to just remain faithful to church as you enter into your adult years and beyond, we also want you to be fully devoted and fully delighted followers in your relationship with Jesus Christ. We want you to be able to go toe to toe with college professors who will challenge you to repudiate their Christian beliefs. We want you to know what you believe and why you believe it. And we want you to make an impact on their world, because, in Christ, you are the hope of this world.
