| Cheryl Barlow |
| Email |
| Director of Worship | Cheryl Barlow is a Utah native but grew up primarily in Northern California and still has a sweet spot for the ocean. She started singing and playing the guitar in high school and later went on to play in many secular bands in both san Francisco and Salt Lake City. One of her highlight moments was singing the National Anthem for a sold out Utah Jazz playoff game!
Cheryl spent two and a half years in Texas where she led worship for Journey of Hope, a Max & Denalyn Lucado sponsored single mother's ministry at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. She moved to St. George in late 2007 and helped forge a new worship team as a vocalist and acoustic guitar player before taking over as Director in November 2008. She is thrilled to part of such a dynamic, passionate, and committed leadership team at the Springs Church. |

| Tim Rommes |
| Email |
| Technical Director | Tim moved to the St. George area in March of 2008 and after checking out The Springs several times during his hunt for a home church settled in here in December. He took over as head geek in July, 2009 when his predecessor stepped down while preparing to adopt. We’re looking forward to a lot of good from Tim in the future. Well, some good. Okay, any good. We’d like to see something good from him sometime.
Tim is a veteran of the Submarine Navy, not the Target Navy like Tom. (That’s how Tim said it.) In his Christian career he has served in many capacities including nursery worker, camp counselor, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School activities director, maintenance man and Youth Director, as20well as being a Young Life leader outside of church. Tim gained the bulk of his technical knowledge volunteering at and then working for the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts in Wickenburg, AZ. He would like to offer thanks to their staff, most particularly Tim Huff, for the time, instruction and trust they so willing gave him.
Tim’s favorite Bible verse is John 11:35. Not because it’s the shortest verse, but because it so powerfully demonstrates the compassion of Christ for those who are hurting. Tim said, “Put me in the same situation right now and I’d probably still just act to stop their pain instead of identifying with and validating it. So much to learn.” |
